As we are slowly coming out of this waning pandemic, now is when we need to push mental health to the forefront, back in the spotlight. Mental Health is the matters the most as it effects every other aspect of your health both externally in how you interact with others and how you feel inside effecting both your physical health, emotional health and social health. What we will be launching in Mid April is our various events to bring community together, and improve our happiness, enjoyment of life, and hope for the future. We will be starting with community jogging events, dog walking events, as well as social events at local establishments.
We will keep posting updates on the site to partnerships we build, events we’re launching and approvals for the scale of our events.
We hope you will follow and share out updates and events to your social feeds to help spread the word on what we’re trying to develop here. Social cohesion, belonging and a sense of community is what we have been missing and what we need to move forward in our lives.
As long as we’ve been around, we’ve seen mental health and addictions slowly become a more prevalent problem in society, exacerbated more and more in the age of technology and spiraling out of control in the wake of the pandemic. We have addressed these issues with conventional methods, medicate, isolate and hope the situation improves. This method, although necessary, only addresses mental health and addictions at the surface, not the underlying conditions that are leading to it. Is the individual dealing with a brain imbalance? or is it situational or circumstantial? Medication, albeit beneficial, is not a fix all to the mental health and addictions problem in society. We need a new approach! We hope to be that new approach, Activeme, as we create a more community based approach, finding support in one another and building relationships through social and leisure events on our website and future app.
With this we hope to improve the well being and mental outlook of our participants providing them with a platform that can give them hope for a better tomorrow in an ever evolving world. A better tomorrow starts today, lets rethink mental health, Activeme.
Wag4Mental Health is going to be one of the kickoff events that Activeme is planning on scheduling for sometime in Early December. This event will incorporate both the mental health benefits of being active and interacting with animals, while also promoting the need for adoption of animals in need. With this event, we hope to provide greater awareness of both causes while promoting community interaction and physical activity, building both community and support in eachother.
Activeme.org is a new approach to mental health that we have taken on both with this site, our future app, and the activities therein.
With this service you will have access to an array of events (both irl and digital), in your area, that you can attend on any given day at any given time, through invites, notifications or postings.
You will be attending events with people who have been or are still going through similar experiences in life. With this, you can build a support structure and sense of community that can help you navigate difficult times in your life. With our comfortable and open minded leisure and social events, we hope to create an environment free of anxiety and negative thought, and instead just be a place where you can be yourself, have fun, get the physical or mental exercise you desire, and build new relationships with others through interactive engagement.
We hope that our participants will have the greatest experience possible. Our goal as an organization and as a movement is to unify people, and create a positive outlook on life through support in one another.
